The Pilgrim's Way to Santiago de Compostela
Xoko Goxoa - Stage to Roncesvalles via the Basque mountains
Abandoned by history, the village of St-Michel was an important stage on the historic route to Santiago de Compostela (Via podiensis). We always welcome pilgrims.
You can set off for Roncesvalles along the old "bide zaharra" route, which has recently been signposted, or link up with the GR65 via the Huntto district. Maps provided.
For all practical information from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port (transport, parking, taxis, bus connections, etc.), please ask us.

No problem, we'll point you in the direction of the GR10, the Pilgrim's Way to Santiago de Compostela, or simple country paths.
